Payment Options

I accept Paypal to the account: erica@crownjewelreptiles.com. Paypal enables the secure use of credit or debit cards. Please be sure that your paypal address matches the shipping address for your animal so no one gets lost in the mail. I also accept postal money orders which are best sent USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. Personal checks, non-postal money orders, and cashiers checks must clear before I ship.

Shipping Details

Shipping is a flat rate of $45 for any number of animals. There is no extra charge for heat/cold packs.

Shipping of live animals is available to the continental United States. Live animals are shipped overnight guaranteed by the shipping company to arrive before 10:30am to most locations. Remote areas may have later guaranteed arrival times. Delays past these guaranteed arrival times are rare but possible. Shipping is done Monday through Wednesday so that potential delays are less likely to run into the weekend. An adult must be present to sign for the package on the first delivery attempt otherwise the live arrival guarantee will be void. I ship in insulated boxes with heat or cold packs as required; however, temperatures must still be within a safe range for the animal. For the Rhacodactylus genus (crested geckos, gargoyle geckos etc.), nighttime lows must be above 40 degrees F and daytime highs must be under 85 degrees F. I am happy to care for a purchased animal as long as necessary until weather is deemed suitable for shipping.

Arranging Your Shipment After Purchase

Once you've purchased your animal(s) please contact me with the following information:

• The correct shipping address for the gecko.
• The phone number you'd like put on the box for the carrier.
• The days you are available to receive shipment. I will then check the forecast (see Shipping Details above) and work out an appropriate arrival day that fits with your schedule and the weather. I won't ship an animal before receiving confirmation that someone will be there to receive the package on your end.

Delivery

I am usually able to deliver animals to the Taylor Reptile Show held monthly in Michigan. Meet ups with locals are considered on a case by case basis.

Guarantees

Live arrival

Animals are guaranteed to arrive healthy and exactly as described. If there is a problem I need to be notified by phone or email within four hours of the animal's arrival. If an animal is dead on arrival proof is required before a store credit or replacement animal is given.

Geckos will sometimes drop their tails due to stress and it does not effect the health or breeding ability of the gecko, therefore no compensation will be offered in the case of a lost tail. That being said, I've never had one of my geckos drop its tail during shipping so don't worry too much.

Sexing

Any animal described as simply "male" or "female" is guaranteed to be sexed properly. A "probable male" classification indicates that after louping the gecko I have seen what appear to be pre-anal pores. A "probable female" label indicates that no pre-anal pores are visible on an animal that typically would be showing signs of maleness at that stage.Sex is not guaranteed for probable males or females because louping is not 100% accurate. If the animal is discovered to be the wrong sex within 6 months of receipt (clear photograph verification needed), a suitable replacement animal (if available) or store credit will be issued. The shipping cost of the replacement will also be my responsibility.

General Health

I guarantee the health of my geckos indefinitely. If you provide a report from a veterinarian of an exam or necropsy verifying with reasonable certainty that I was at fault, then I will refund/replace your animal.

Virginity

Females sold as virgins are guaranteed to be chaste. They are never placed with males or potential males for any length of time for any reason. This ensures that you can be confident of paternity if and when you decide to pair your female with a male of your choosing. Note that a virgin female may lay eggs before being paired with a male but these eggs will not be fertile.

Proven

Animals described as "proven" have incontrovertibly produced offspring in the past.

Color

I will do my best to provide the most accurate and up to date representation of an animal. But it is nearly impossible to guarantee color for a variety of reasons. Colors can look very different from one monitor to another. Also, an animal's color can change depending on stress, mood, and as it matures.

Photos are never "touched-up" to make an animal look better than it is in reality.
